Having been inspired by the positive impact yoga has had on her life, Luba started Blissful Fit to help others feel the same way she does as a result of her yoga practice – blissful and fit. Since starting Blissful Fit, Luba has been sharing her love of yoga with people of all ages and fitness levels. With a personable and intuitive approach, she incorporates a balance of flow, breath, alignment, positivity and mindfulness into her classes. Luba believes that yoga is not just what happens on the mat, and if integrated into everyday life, it can enhance wellbeing and happiness, cultivate positive relationships with ourselves and other people, and overall, improve quality of life.
"My husband and I couldn't live without Luba's yoga classes! We have been joining Luba's classes since 2010. She pays attention to individual needs and offers variations to accomodate a class of students of different levels. With the encouragement and guidance from Luba, we are able to challenge ourselves both physically and mentally. When I was pregnant a year ago, I took Luba's prenatal yoga once a week, and I got through pregnancy without any cramps, back pain or other discomforts that are common during pregnancy. "Personally, I’m a pretty understated individual but I have to be very honest and say that Luba has had a very profound effect by introducing Yoga into my life. Before I started Yoga, I had experienced a serious back injury playing rugby at school, and unfortunately it stayed with me. I tried several times to get back into shape after a ‘sedentary’ period during my twenties but progress was hindered by my weak back every time I tried. My wife already took a few classes with Luba and asked whether I was interested. I had always wanted to try Yoga and was very lucky to have Luba as my first Yoga teacher.
Having grown up on the grey and cloudy island that is known as the U.K, people have a natural tendency to be skeptical about creating ‘positive energy’ and awareness for oneself. However, I have to admit that Luba truly brings a positive force into any room she enters, which is why we all love her so much. (Remember, this is coming from a grumpy man brought up in England!) This obviously translates into her Yoga instruction where she is extremely encouraging to us as we are trying new poses, pushing us further with our practice, and also teaching us to be more positive and aware of our body and minds.
I have been extremely lucky to have Luba as my first Yoga teacher. Every time we have class, she brings her smiles and laughter and this makes for a very enjoyable and fun atmosphere! She has inspired me to explore and further my own practice and one day I hope to have the opportunity to become a Yoga teacher myself. Every time I practice on my mat, her instruction always stays with me. I am definitely a lot happier and healthier after practicing Yoga. I attribute this to Luba introducing this wonderful thing into my life with an ever-glowing smile as she tells me to go into yet another plank or chaturanga"!
